VIDEO TUTORIALS · US CROCHET TERMS
The Stitch Library, step by step
Every crochet stitch in my patterns, filmed from the maker's point of view. Each one is worked slowly a few times, then once at normal speed, so you can follow along with the hook in your own hands.
FROM THE PATTERN - Ridgeline Buff
A seamless crochet neck warmer in DK wool, with a ribbed cuff at each end. Two stitches, two videos.
Extended Single Crochet ESC
A little taller and softer than a single crochet. The extra step, pulling through just one loop before finishing, is what makes it extended.
Used for: the body of the buff
UK term: extended double crochet
Front & Back Post Double Crochet FPDC / BPDC
Worked around the post of the stitch below rather than through its top. Alternating the two builds the stretchy ribbing on each cuff.
Used for: the ribbed cuffs
UK term: front & back post treble

Slow first, then full speed
Watch the slow repeats until the movement feels familiar, then follow the full-speed pass. Pause and rewind as often as you need.

Scan from the pattern
Each pattern has a QR code beside every stitch, so the right video is one scan away while you work.
